Kitchen Side Table
Red Oak // Poplar
“More counter space, more storage, don’t block the entryway and make it look like it belongs here”. The result is a table that matches counter height, counter depth, existing paint hue and architectural style in the kitchen and beyond. Leg and stretcher proportions were carefully considered to match those of the existing kitchen cabinetry to provide visual cohesion. A red oak top was used to provide continuity with details throughout the 1907 craftsman home in Alameda. The depth of the side table decreases for unobstructed movement to and from the stairs leading to the basement.
